Dip Coating Pots DescriptionWAAGE Dip Coating Pots and Tanks are used for dip coating, impregnating and production melting of plastic coatings, waxes, compounds and glue.Attractively styled in either round or rectangular sizes and finished in black wrinkle enamel, they are equipped with a cover, pilot light, and adjustable thermostat. Round Pot capacities range from 1 pt. to 50 gal. Rectangular Tanks range from 32 cu. in. to 864 cu. in. AC operation only. ConstructionThe crucibles are made of cast aluminum, welded aluminum or welded steel and are encased in a steel jacket mounted on an air cooled base. Fiber glass and air insulation reduce heat losses to a minimum. Replaceable heating elements are securely clamped to the bottom (and to the sides in deep models) of the crucibles for even heat distribution. Models up to and including 1600 Watts are furnished with a 6 ft., 3 conductor, grounded cordset. All other models must be wired direct to the connection box. A knockout is provided for this purpose.ApplicationWAAGE Dip Coating Pots and Tanks have won wide acceptance among users of plastics, waxes, glues and compounds. They are used for short run or volume production dipping of parts and packaging, impregnating and melting. The shape of the object to be dipped determines whether a round pot or rectangular tank is best suited for the job. When used with a Needle Valve, these pots have found wide application in the production of electrical equipment and packaging.
Round Dip Coating Pots
WAAGE Series WP Dip Coating Pots for dip coating, impregnating and production melting plastic coatings, waxes, compounds and glue operate on AC only and at temperatures of 150 to 550°F. Sizes range from 1 pt. to 25 gal. for those with aluminum crucibles and from 10 gal. to 50 gal. for those with steel crucibles.
Controls
Wax DroppersWAAGE Series WD Pots are designed specifically for wax dropping applications. Used in the production of batteries, switches, switchboards, wax patterns and for the sealing of packages, etc., the WD Series Pot has an exclusive guided valve feature which provides finger-tip regulation of quantities dropped. Standard nozzle opening is 1/'S inch. Other openings available on request. Capacities range from 1 pt. to 2 qts.This exclusive guided valve is available on any WAAGE pot of the WP series at extra cost. Rectangular Dip Coating TanksWAAGE Series RWP Tanks are made rectangular to accommodate shapes that cannot be effectively handled in round style pots.Accurate temperature control of these units is maintained with bimetal thermostats on models RWP-1, RWP-2, and with hydraulic thermostats on all other models. Because of the poor heat conductivity of some plastics, the sensitive bulb of the thermostat is clamped to the side of the tank to eliminate the possibility of overheating. Volume capacity ranges from 32 cu. in. to 864 cu. in. Temperature range is from 150 to 550°F. Agitated Dispensing Tanks
WAAGE agitated dispensing tanks are available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon, 10 gallon, 25 gallon, 50 gallon and 500 gallons. Dimensions are the same as standard WAAGE pots. Automatic Thermostat Control 150 - 550°F.WAAGE Agitated Dispensing Tanks are standard model WP Tanks with the addition of 30 RPM motor-driven stirrer, bottom wiping type. All tanks are equipped with quick-opening, heated ball valves and are mounted on 12" pipe legs. Agitator motors are controlled by a manual switch with thermal electric overload protection.
